Have you been waiting for the next shonen anime to appear on the scene?  Well, let me introduce you to this much anticipated series!  This manga series created by Hori Mashima has finally been adapted by A-1 Pictures which has aired one episode so far.  The Fairy Tail series follows the adventures of Lucy Heartfilia, a young mage looking to find her place in the world.  Shortly after beginning her adventures, she bumps into the male protagonist, Natsu Dragneel, who happens to save her from an unexpected encounter.  The story then kicks off from there and you’re thrown into the hilarity of this great series.  Fairy Tail is full of comedy and action to keep you absorbed in its magical world.  It offers its own unique take on the shonen genre and it has already set its mark on the manga world.  I’m sure this series is going to become a monster as the season progresses, so be sure to check this out if you’re looking for something fun to watch.

From Me To You

For those of you looking for a good shoujo anime, this series starts off quite refreshing.  As of right now, there are a total of three episodes out so jump on the bandwagon while it’s empty.  You will find the usual setting here with a romance/comedy set within a school life environment.  The protagonist of the story is Sawako Kuronuma, an introverted female student that is misunderstood by her peers.  Her classmate’s nickname her “Sadako” for her resemblance to the evil character from “The Ring.”  However, her life changes when the popular guy, Kazehaya, begins to talk with her at school and opens her eyes to a new world mixed with new feelings.  You end up following her through awkward and funny moments as she tries to find her place in school.  Judging from the couple of episodes that are out, I see this one to have some great potential.  If you’re looking for something easy going that will give you a good laugh here and there, check this one out!

I am going to say that I was excited when I saw the trailer for Zombieland.  Finally, another zombie movie!  It has been awhile since zombies have graced us with their presence on the big screen.  There is something utterly entertaining about watching people mindlessly kill the mindless.  So, it wouldn’t be a surprise that I had to watch it today during the opening weekend.

I had some pretty high expectations for this movie since most reviews were positive and I was already a fan of the genre.  To be honest though, can you really make a bad zombie movie?  Can you really?  It’s just one of those genres that you really can’t seem to fuck up.  It’s like turning a pile of shit into gold.  No matter how bad it is, it will most likely end up being hilarious to the point where it was enjoyable.  Anyway, I walked out of this movie actually enjoying everything about it.  There was an actual story behind it all.   It had all the zombie killing you want, plenty of comedy involved, along with some pretty heart warming moments.  Go watch it and see for yourself.  Leave a comment about what you think too.
